Planned Investment

We deliver a programme of planned investment to our homes and neighbourhoods across Northampton. This includes refurbishing and modernising existing homes.

As your home gets older, we may need to replace or improve things such as bathrooms, kitchens, heating systems, and your windows and doors, and to make sure we meet the Decent Homes Standard

Every year we work in estates across Northampton and plan which homes need upgrades or improvements due to their age and condition. This work is carried out in two streams; external works and internal works.

Adaptations Service

We are committed to helping people live independently in their home.

If you or anyone living at your home have a disability and are finding it difficult to get into and around your home or to use some of the facilities within your home we may be able to help by carrying out adaptations.

What do we provide?

  • Advice on equipment and/or adaptation for your home to support your needs
  • Advise and support on alternatives if adaptation is not possible

Some typical fixtures and fittings we provide include the following:

Sustainability

We endeavour to operate responsibily in a changing world.

Our sustainability aims are important to us and our customers now, but they are also vitally important to future generations. We want to make sure our work meets current needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet theirs.

Everyone, from our residents and employees, to our suppliers and stakeholders, has a crucial role in making sure we meet our sustainability objectives. We are engaging with all of these groups to put our plans into action.

Whole House Retrofit Project

We are delighted to offer the first stages of the Northampton Whole House Retrofit project to residents in Kingsthorpe and Kingsley.

The project is targeting homes which are expensive to heat and energy inefficient due to the way they are built. We have written to residents in eligible homes to encourage them to take part in this exciting new scheme.

The project is completely free of charge to residents, who will benefit from:
