You have requested the following information:
1. The total number of lock-up domestic garages owned by the councils.
2. The total number of these garages that are currently empty.
3. The total number that are currently let to council estate residents.
4. The total number that are let to non council estate residents.
5. The estimated average total space in sq ft of all the council-owned garages.
The garage process in currently being transferred to a bidding cycle, therefore NPH are unable to confirm the accuracy of these details accordingly.
As at 20/08/2021 there are 2149 garages recorded, for which 942 are registered as void. Please also note that whilst 942 are registered void, a number of these have been through the bidding process and are waiting to be allocated or signed up.
In response to questions 3, 4 and 5, I can advise that NPH does not record the information requested. This should not be regarded as a refusal notice, as the information is not held.
