Information Request NPH00-1256/20

I am writing to respond to your request for information received on Thursday 17th September 2020 which has been dealt with under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOI).

Your request has been given the unique Information Request No. NPH00-1256/20.  Please quote this reference on all correspondence relating to this request.

You have requested the following information. Our response is shown in bold.

I would like to know since you have engaged Engie for works on you N.P.H. properties, how many trees did you instruct them to cut down? Also, how many trees have you instructed Engie to cut down in the Briar Hill area? Also did you have each felled or to be felled tree checked first by an arboriculturist and what reasons were trees felled by Engie. Lastly did you instruct Engie that they could go onto private houses to fell any trees.

Briar Hill Works, Engie

There are 3nr trees removed to date and 1nr tree approved to remove. One of the trees already removed was in a private garden (structurally impacting on NPH managed property), however this was done with permission of the private residence.

Another tree was taken down with a wall and the tree was inside the NPH managed garden boundary.

All trees have been approved for removal by Northampton Borough Council’s Arboricultural Officer.
