Last week, many months of hard work and planning culminated in fantastic results for residents in and around Leicester Street.

Community investment manager James Knox from Ricoh UK made contact with NPH offering volunteers and resources in order to carry out a project to which NPH immediately thought of the small garden provided to the elderly residents of Leicester Street.

This garden was overgrown and unloved, which meant residents had no communal area in which they could socialise and appreciate the open air.

RICOH UK provided 47 staff throughout the week as well as volunteers from the Hope Centre combined with both funding and volunteers from NPH.

As a result this garden area not only looks fascinating having been completely transformed but is now an area that the community can use to grow produce, socialise and hold events.

Plans for the sustainable future of the garden will be consulted upon in early Spring 2016.  Meanwhile, residents have a lovely space to enjoy while they look forward to further developments next year.

Northampton Partnership Homes and Ricoh UK would like to thank all the volunteers who made this project a success as well as local residents for their support.
