NPH reviewed feedback from a tenant who suggested ways in which we could improve communication with the residents in their block. The aim was to find a solution that would help residents stay informed through safe, visible notice boards in communal areas.

How we listened:

We received the feedback through the Resident Influence inbox, which was forwarded to the Housing Officer, Stacey. The resident wanted us to consider how we could improve communication within the blocks and shared their ideas for non‑flammable notice boards made from metal.

We reviewed the suggestion, explored suitable options and gathered quotes to understand what could be implemented safely within communal areas. This was presented to management for consideration and approval was given to move forward.

What we will be doing:

We will be installing notice boards in all 26 blocks of flats in the St James area.

To support this, we have also designed a suite of posters specifically for these blocks on topics such as:

  • Anti-social behaviour support
  • Recycling and food waste
  • Block safety and building information

These will help ensure residents can easily access clear, helpful and up‑to‑date information.
