Who we are

Happy To Help CIC is a social enterprise established in 2018 and is run by a Board which includes WNC tenants. We support and enable residents and communities of West Northamptonshire to prosper.

What we do

  • We provide items and services that help support tenants to sustain their tenancy
  • We provide services that strengthen or enrich the communities of West Northamptonshire

Our ‘Theory of Change’ sets out what we do, why we do it and the impact that we want to make.

Some examples of how we work in the community

We work with grass roots organisations such as local charities, community and residents groups to run or support projects that improve the environment, create volunteering or training opportunities, increase people’s wellbeing and improve their connection to the place where they live.

The Paint Shop

Our Paint Shop provides low-cost paint, enabling households to decorate using recognisable brands at a reduced price. We’re run with the support of local volunteers and work placements from a local SEND school.

Subsidised Garden Service

Our subsidised gardening service provides a trusted, low cost way for people to take care of their gardens.

Kings Heath Community Centre and Café

Our Community Centre & Café in Kings Heath provides a place to meet, eat, drink and socialise and get involved in activities. The Centre is run with support from the local community and our youth work partner Free 2 Talk.

Support Fund

Our Support Fund helps WNC tenants in need to move on from a crisis and sustain their tenancy. We support with large purchases such as appliances, beds, furniture, carpet and curtains plus the small things such as kettles, toasters, bedding and kitchen items.

Our aim is to prevent people getting in debt, taking on costs that they can’t manage and in turn, helping them to live with dignity, avoid unmanageable debt repayments and retain their home. Please note that this service is accessed through NPH Housing teams and is not directly accessible by the public.

Get involved

Are you an individual looking to volunteer? Maybe you want to improve your confidence, add to your CV or simply get out and do something positive. We have volunteer opportunities in our Paint Shop and Café.

Is your workplace or business looking for a team-building day with a difference? We can arrange a volunteer day, either with Happy To Help, one of our local charity partners or a community group.

Are you interested in donating to support our work or to fund a community-focused project in West Northants? Maybe you have a community project in mind but aren’t sure where to start and would like Happy To Help to manage it for you. We may already be working on a project that creates environmental improvements, supports employment, training or people’s wellbeing and you could contribute by adding value. We’d love to hear from you!

Please email us at happytohelp@nph.org.uk and we’ll be in touch.

Our legal basis for processing the information

Our primary lawful bases for most of our processing under the UK GDPR are:

  • Article 6(1)(a)– the individual has given clear consent for us to process their personal data for a specific purpose.
