Lottery funding will allow Happy to Help to give new beds to those who need them most
Happy to Help have recently been granted £20,000 of funding from the National Lottery Community Fund. Happy To Help is the Community Interest Company (CIC) set up by Northamptonshire Partnership Homes.
The funding, for a project called Rested Heads, will allow Happy to Help to provide a minimum of 150 beds and bedding for people in need over the course of the next two years.
The Rested Heads project will follow on from the success of the Jubilee Beds project run by Happy to Help in 2022/2023. Jubilee Beds received Platinum Jubilee funding from the National Lottery and provided 93 beds over the course of the year to residents who really needed them. Providing those beds made a massive difference to the physical and mental health of those supported and demonstrated what a difference a bed can make to the quality of life of the recipient. The success of the Jubilee Beds project prompted the Happy to Help team to apply for further funding for this larger programme of bed distribution in 2024/2025. The team were delighted to be successful with their lottery funding application and look forward to getting started – they will work with NPH front line staff to identify who needs the new beds most.
