What is a Mutual Exchange?

A mutual exchange allows social housing tenants to swap homes with another tenant, subject to landlord approval. It can often be a quicker way to move than waiting for a property through the housing register and may help you find a home that’s a better fit for your circumstances.

Who should attend?

This event is open to any social housing tenant interested in swapping homes.

You do not need to be an NPH tenant to attend. However, you must be a social housing tenant with a secure, flexible or assured tenancy agreement.

What help will be available?

Our Mutual Exchange Team will be on hand to provide:

• Guidance on the mutual exchange process
• Advice on eligibility and tenancy requirements
• Support with setting up or updating your exchange profile
• Answers to questions about moving, inspections and approvals
• One-to-one advice tailored to your circumstances
