Spring Boroughs

Development

Berkeley House and St Mary's Court development

NPH is proposing to redevelop the buildings of Berkeley House and St Mary’s Court. The new development will be named The Roof Gardens.

Whole Home Whole Neighbourhood

At Spring Boroughs NPH have built new Council homes including:

  • 14 three bedroom and 2 four bedroom houses in Scarletwell Court and Althorp Street
  • 9 two bedroom maisonettes with private terraced gardens at Little Cross Terrace
  • 9 one bedroom apartments at Little Cross Terrace
  • and a replacement shop in Little Cross Street.

Existing homes in the area are benefiting from:

  • extensive landscaping to include additional parking, bike and bin storage, play areas and a green gym
  • refurbishment works to apartment blocks and houses.

Planning has been secured for a Multi-Use Games Area in Spring Boroughs.

Planning has also been secured for a heritage trail around the former site of Northampton Castle.

 

Abington

Garages blocks and small site development

We are proposing to develop on a number of garage blocks or small sites in Abington:

  • Norman Road - 3 three bedroom homes, pending planning approval.
  • James Lewis Court - work has started on 2 three bedroom homes with completion estimated for Autumn 2020.
  • Field way - 2 one bedroom houses with completion estimated for Autumn 2020.

 

Blackthorn

Planned Investment

Blackthorn is one of the areas set to benefit from NPH's Planned Investment Programme.

This includes:

  • External works to homes
  • Landscaping work to communal areas

External Work

We will be refurbishing homes in the area. 

This may include: 

  • new cladding,
  • windows,
  • doors and rainwater goods
  • Replacement block entrance doors and upgrades to entry systems
  • Landscaping work to communal gardens of flats

Further work is taking place to improve waste management for the flats.

 
Redevelopment of garage blocks and small sites

Northampton Partnership Homes has started work to build new homes at:

  • Maidencastle
  • Pikemead Court
  • Hopmeadow Court
  • Greatmeadow
  • Nether Jackson Court
  • Paddock Mill Court
  • Collmead Court

This programme is due to complete in Spring 2021.

 

Briar Hill

Briar Hill is one of the areas set to benefit from NPH's Planned Investment Programme.

This includes:

  • External works to homes
  • Landscaping work to communal areas

External Work

We will be refurbishing homes in the area. 

This may include:

  • doors and rainwater goods
  • Replacement block entrance doors and upgrades to entry systems

Redevelopment of garage sites and other sites in Briar Hill

Work is progressing to build new homes at:

  • Ringway
  • Southwood Hill 
  • The Briars (Garage no’s 51-59) to be developed into 2 one bedroom bungalows;

 

 

Cliftonville

NPH are proposing to build a rooftop extension at Woodstock.

This will add a further 10 homes at this flat block.

Collingtree

We are refurbishing existing homes and building new homes at Toms Close in Collingtree.

Phase 1

Refurbishment of three existing homes. Lovell have been appointed as the contractor.

Work has started on site.

Phase 2

Construction of 21 new homes. Planning has been approved.

Dallington

Redevelopment of garage sites and other sites

We have planning approval to develop new homes at the following sites:

  • Brook Lane
  • Cardigan Close; and
  • Swansea Crescent.

 

 

 

Delapre and Far Cotton

Garage blocks and small site development

Work has started to develop sites at:

  • Camborne Close - 2 bungalows with parking and 2 one bedroom maisonettes.
  • Gloucester Avenue - 3 new homes

These sites will be completed this Spring.

Duston

Moray Lodge Development

We are currently on site to develop 20 homes with support, for adults with acquired brain injury and additional needs.

Garages and small site developments

We are on site to develop a one bedroom bungalow at Newton Road and 2 two bedroom houses at Pendle Road.

We are also on site building 2 two bedroom bungalows at Limehurst Close.

Eastfield

Garage and small site developments

We are on site at a number of locations in Eastfield:

  • Newby Court - 1 one bedroom bungalow.
  • Grange Court - 3 one bedroom homes.
  • Thirlmere Avenue - 2 one bedroom homes.

Parking

Additional parking has been developed for Grange Road and Rosgill Place.

 

Goldings and Overstone Lodge

Planned investment

Goldings is one of the areas set to benefit from NPH's Planned Investment Programme.

This includes:

Garage and small site developments

In Goldings, we plan to develop garages on:

  • Prentice Court;
  • Overleys Court; and
  • Shadowfax Drive.

Planning has been approved for:

  • Prentice Court, demolition of four garages and construction of one new build home.

In Overstone Lodge, we plan to develop garages:

  • Marshleys Court;
  • Overleys Court; and
  • Shadowfax Drive.

Planning has been approved for garages adjacent to 8 Overleys Court.
The work will include demolition of 4 garages and erection of 1 new build bungalow.

Hunsbury

We have transformed a block of former single persons' accommodation into a modern family apartment scheme. Centenary House is home to 40 families with outside green space, balconies and children's play equipment.

 

 

Kings Heath

Investment

Blocks in the area have benefitted from modernised balconies and windows as well as landscaping works including new tarmac paths, sheds, bin stores and drying facilities.

NPH is currently regenerating the shop fronts in Kings Heath Park Square.

A skate park in partnership with Northampton Borough Council opened in Kings Heath Park at the end of March.

NPH has started work to develop a number of garage block and small sites:

  • Derwent Drive - 8 x 3 bedroom homes.
  • Witham Way  - 4 x 3 bedroom homes.
  • Medway Drive - 4 one bedroom maisonettes.
  • Swale Drive - Planning has been approved to develop 5 two bedroom homes and 1 one bedroom bungalow.
Kingsthorpe

Garage blocks and small site development

NPH has planning permission to develop new homes at Blakesley Court.

Work has started on new homes at the following sites, due to complete by this Autumn:

  • 1-17 Hinton Close
  • 1-16 St Davids Road

Investment

Lings is one of 4 areas set to benefit from NPH's Planned Investment Programme in 2019/2020. The other areas are Lakeview, Lumbertubs and Blackthorn.

This includes: 

  • External works to homes
  • Landscaping work to communal areas

External Work

We will be refurbishing homes in the area. 

This may include: 

  • new cladding,
  • windows,
  • doors,
  • and rainwater goods
  • Replacement bloc entrance doors and upgrades to entry systems
  • Landscaping work to communal gardens of flats.

Further work is taking place to improve waste management for the flats.

Garage and small site developments

NPH are currently talking to residents in the vicinity of East Paddock Court and Hayeswood Road before a formal planning application is submitted to build 5 two bedroom homes on vacant land behind 44 East Paddock Court in Lings.

Lumbertubs

  • 1-10 Longueville Court; and
  • 6-17 Pell Court.

 

St James

NPH is proposing to build a rooftop extension at Dovercourt.

This will add a further 10 homes at this flat block.

Thorplands

Investment

Thorplands is currently having large scale planned investment to homes and neighbourhoods.

Landscaping work on communal gardens of flats will be starting shortly in North Holme Court and Great Holme Court

New developments

NPH is developing local retail space, parking and creating 17 new homes on the former Tanners pub site. The contractor for the build is Jeakins Weir.

NPH is also developing 9 bungalows to form a supported housing scheme, which will be named Oak Tree Rise. We expect the development to be completed this Autumn. You can view the plans online.

Town Centre

We are proposing to build a number of new homes in the town centre.

Work has started on site at Stockley Street to build 5 two bedroom houses, with completion estimated for summer 2020.

There are a number of small developments to follow on under-utilised garage sites.

Wootton
